Producers
Southeast Milk, Inc., is comprised of 280 members representing over 300 dairies, who range in size from under 100 cows to nearly 3,000. Our members are located in Florida, southern Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama.
The majority of Florida dairy farms ship their milk through SMI. The total production of SMI's farmers is approximately 150 tanker loads of milk every day, primarily processed into fluid milk for the consumer grocery market.
SMI is a Capper-Volstead cooperative, divided into 14 districts, and governed by a Board of 25 directors, elected by the members living in each district. There are also two at-large directors on the board, appointed by the president.
